| EOPA grew out of two contact groups for
equal opportunity practitioners, one including Commonwealth public
service personnel in Queensland and the other including equal opportunity
practitioners serving educational institutions - universities, colleges
and institutes, TAFE and public schools.
These two groups recognised the benefits of a broader-based incorporated
practitioners' association to provide support and development to
those working in this increasingly important, complex and demanding
field.
The Equal Opportunity Practitioners' Association Queensland Inc.
(EOPA) was formed and incorporated in 1988.
Today EOPA has members in the private, community, public and education
sectors, as well as union officials and private consultants. |
